Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 1 can of sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
- 1 can of evaporated milk (12 oz)
- 1/2 cup of freshly brewed coffee (use our 100% Pure Espresso Ground Coffee)
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, melt the sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until it turns into a golden brown caramel.
- Pour the caramel into a 9-inch round baking dish and spread it evenly on the bottom.
- In a blender or food processor, combine the eggs, condensed milk, evaporated milk, coffee, and vanilla extract.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour the mixture over the caramel in the baking dish.
- Place the dish into a larger baking pan and fill the larger pan with hot water so it comes halfway up the sides of the smaller dish.
- Bake the flan in the preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until set.
- Remove from oven and let cool completely.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- To serve, run a knife around the edges of the dish and invert the flan onto a platter.
